Exploring Muslim-Friendly Toronto like a Local with Halal Food

The Muslim-friendly city of Toronto as well as Canada, in general, should be on the travel itinerary for every Muslim.

There is no shortage of places to visit and things to do in Toronto, whether you would like to explore nature, historical sites or perhaps take a stroll through the most dynamic districts.

This multicultural city is easily navigable and enjoyable. It is the different seasons that paint the city different colors every time you go, or a new adventure that will give you an adrenaline rush every time.

Toronto is home to plenty of Muslim-friendly and halal food restaurants and there are many mosques for prayers close by, making Canada a great addition to breathtaking getaways around the world for travelers and families.

1. What is the Best Time to Visit Toronto?

You should visit Toronto between the end of April to mid-October if you want to explore the city and see street life in full swing. During three climates - spring, summer and autumn - you will witness the city's spectacular changes in color.

The best time to visit is between November and March if you want to take part in the festivities, see the lights and experience snow.

The temperatures there are very low, so for those who are sensitive to cold, spring may be a better time. I was there in March, and it wasn't even warm yet.

The best way to get around Toronto is by driving around Canada. If you want to explore the country, I recommend it highly. But planning to get around Toronto through the busy everyday traffic may not be your best bet for an effective use of your time. While it allows you to go anywhere you want without being restricted by schedules, it can also be expensive and time-consuming.

Parking during business hours is mostly paid, which may reduce your travel budget. Make your own way around the city by using TTC subways, subway trains, buses, and streetcars.

Almost all the iconic Toronto landmarks can be reached, and even if you don't want to wear out your vehicle, you can go out of town with them.

You can also keep the rental car parked in the parking lot for a few days while you explore Toronto before continuing your journey. That was definitely an option I was considering.

2. Let's talk about money:

You should budget approximately CAD 100 a day for your holiday in Toronto. Breakfast is $20, lunch is $30, and dinner is $45. With the remainder of your money, you can go shopping for souvenirs to bring home to friends and family.

3. You can speak the following languages:

English and French are the official languages. In this town, diversity is celebrated, so you'll find Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Tamil, Chinese, Italian, and Spanish spoken as well as other common languages.
