What Makes Our Place Special?

There has never really been any question about why we’re considered such a great place for anyone looking for quality Indian food anywhere in Canada.

We do things differently here at Leela IndianFood Bar than most places that serve Indian food because we don't just follow recipes - we bring out the true flavors of each dish through cooking techniques adapted over decades of experience.

At first glance, you may think that “Indian food should always taste like curry powder” but if you've ever visited us before you'll quickly realize that's simply not true. Here are some reasons why we're different:

We take pride in using only 100% Indian spices and turmeric when possible, nothing added after cooking, etc.

We make all our sauces fresh & homemade, especially the creamy ones. Most people add extra salt while making their own sauce which defeats the purpose of having something made specifically for you.

All our meats are cooked tender without being dried out. This prevents meat from drying out during transport and storage. It also preserves its flavor better.

Every ingredient used in our meals is organic, local whenever possible. Some items aren’t available locally yet but we strive to get more of those in stock soon.

You won't see many non-vegetarians eating our cuisine since it doesn't contain animal products. But vegetarians are very welcome too!

We source all our vegetables from small family farms and farmers markets. You’ll notice a lot fewer chemical residues on produce found here compared to typical supermarkets.

We try to keep portions small so everyone can enjoy a full portion of deliciousness. No need to leave hungry.
